About the artist:

"A native of Greece, Xanthi loannidou was born in Lampeia, Peloponnese, where she spent most of her childhood and adolescence. Her works are inspired by the colors, tastes, and sounds of Hellenic nature, which Xanthi had already felt since her early age, the gift of nature's magic.

From the beginning of her artistic career, Xanthi loannidou moved to Athens, where she began to experiment with colors, egg tempera mediums, and icons in medieval Byzantine art.

Aside from her inspirations from the Greek countryside and nature, Xanthi was later inspired by the marble sculptures of Cycladic Culture (dated c. 3200-c. 1050 BC), which possess the beauty and simplicity of lines in sculpture. Even today, Cycladic Culture's sculptures continue to express modern artistic attributes and relevance, which Xanthi transferred onto her canvasses.

Xanthi loannidou has participated in group exhibitions in both Greece and abroad Art lovers have acquired her works from around the world during their visits to Greece.

While possessing a philosophy that "only our soul is our true possession," she believes that art is a collective possession for the world's spiritual evolution. In the words of the Greek poet Yannis Ritsos, "The greatest happiness you get is the happiness you give." Xanthi loannidou has found this inspirational quote as her artistic ethos of expression to illuminate and fulfill the artistic desires hidden in our hearts"
